The Coolwater Villa 2: Baan Erawan
Baan Erawan occupies the highest point on the estate and provides stunning views over the Kamala valley. With its edgeless swimming pool wrapped around one of the pavilions, the reflecting pool welcomes you as you arrive and “floating” stepping-stones beckon you to the poolside deck and garden lawn. Climb the stairs suspended above the infinity pool, and you will see the deep tropical jungle beyond.
From the living and dining room, and from the broad timber deck cantilevered out front, Baan Erawan boasts views of the ocean to the West and of Pak Bang Mountain to the South, while the deck offers an ideal setting to enjoy a romantic alfresco dinner or sundowner drink.
Furnished in a contemporary style with Asian accents, and original artwork thoughtfully lit with flexible controls, it's the ideal place to unwind. Connect your iPod to the villa's wireless music system, listen to the 2500 track library or curl up and enjoy a DVD on the large LCD screen – and, you will agree! Entertain in the fully equipped kitchen fitted with black granite surfaces and stainless steel appliances or practice your Thai cooking skills in the outdoor Thai kitchen, while looking over the pool to the jungle again – the choice is yours.
The slate floored master bedroom faces West towards the ocean as does the quite study area, and the large private master bathtub with elevated garden allows a clear view of the tropical sky. The other bedrooms are spacious, one of which has a rather special shower!
